multiple copies of networks and no auto connect

Hey, im using the latest build of Windows Vista, and some rather annoying networking issues have arisen.
In my home is an ad-hoc wifi network, called mshome, and my sisters pc on windows xp has internet connection sharing enabled. This works fine, but for some reason windows connects me to the network "mshome 2" and then "mshome 3" the next time and so on. Why does it keep making copies of the same network?
Also when my PC starts up, it will not auto-connect to this network, even tho I have turned the setting on. Can anyone help?
Thanks weez

At one point I had a copy of my wireless connection listed as number 3. I never saw a 2 though. In your network screen go to reorder networks and see if you don't actually have multiple connects to your home network. It almost sounds like your setting it up everytime, which could happen if your not seeing your netowrk (Or broadcasting is off) In this screen it says that it connects to the networks listed in order. Delete any extras you have and check your setting to connect even if the connection is not broadcasting.
Once I did that i stopped having issues.
